Here We Go……

We feel like a stuffed turkey in so many ways! Every meal for the last two weeks we have counted as our last. We are so stuffed of good food it is unbelievable. Our bags are stuffed too. Every bag ways 50 lbs and we each have a carry-on. Some things will just have to wait until we get a visit from friends or family. We are also so richly stuffed with hugs and goodbyes. So stuffed it is now overflowing into tears. We just can’t hold it all in.

Tomorrow is the big day, a 12-hour flight, then a layover and another 2-hour flight to our destination. We fly out at 1 am, hoping that the kids will sleep most of the plane ride. We hope we can get some sleep too.

We are looking forward to settling down and making a new home. We are also really excited to learn the language and have our own conversations without a translator. We wonder how fast the kids will pick up the language as well. The next few weeks will be crazy with setting up things from language learning to grocery shopping. But we hope we can catch a minute to say hi to all of you who are just as excited as us in this new journey of ours.
