We are back in America after living in Asia for 2 and ½ years. We can’t believe the kids were only 2 and 4 years old and how fast time has gone. Before leaving Asia, we enjoyed the Christmas season in Asia. Then we traveled to America for New Years. After our long 12-hour ride, ready to be finished traveling and arrive in America, we finally landed in San Francisco. Morgan said, “We’re in San Francisco!” Noah looked very bummed and said, “Aww, when are we going to be in America?” We then escaped away with Lori’s family to the mountains. We celebrated Christmas in January with both our families and enjoyed every memory created.
Alleyah has discovered she loves Taco Bell more than McDonald’s and Noah really loves being with all the cousins and friends. Morgan and I keep thinking people know us, but really everyone just likes to smile whether you know them or not. Morgan also tries to honk his horn at other drivers as if he is driving in Asia. He actually turned into the opposite lane just to get a round a car instead of waiting. I think he is good now and is back to following the American rules.
Having great American food and shopping in a country with our sizes is very welcoming. So are the many friends who are excited to see us. We already had some time in central California and are currently in Oregon for a few weeks. Then in February, we head to Pismo Beach California and meet up with more friends and Morgan teaches in a school run through our company. We will be in America for Easter Holiday and then head back to Asia. We already look forward to be back to our Asian home again.
We have one last thing to update all of you on. I like how a friend said it, so I will share it here. We will have a little stowaway for our return to Asia. Morgan and I are proud to announce we have a little one on the way! Our baby will be born in Asia sometime in the beginning of August.
Hope to visit with more of you!
