It is so amazing how a yard sale can make you feel so much lighter. We have enjoyed getting rid of things as we organize our packing for Asia. One item at a time, we evaluate its worth to us and decide if it enters the Asia box, storage box or yard sale pile. It make us think about our American consumption and how simple life can be without these things. We are now left to the bare essentials for the 2 1/2 months left here on the Central Coast. We were also so encouraged to reach our yard sale goal. Before Saturday morning we set our goal at $500. This was a big goal being that the last yard sale profits were $100, $150, and $200. Then at the end of the day we counted out $526!!!! We are putting most of it aside so we can purchase our things in Asia. Not only did we raise our goal, we also met some really good people. One family invited us over for Mexican dinner next week to hear more about our plans and encourage us. Another man purchased Morgan's golf clubs and also promised to golf in our base golf event this fall!!! It was a fun Saturday.
