Waiting...waiting...waiting...
We are learning to be more patient as we wait for the "stamp man." The "stamp man" was out of town and he is the only one with "the stamp" to finalize our invitation letter from Asia. We have heard that after about 3 weeks he has returned, but still no invitation letter. The patience will continue even after we receive the letter. We will have to drive the letter and our passports to LA and wait for visas. We are starting to feel the pressure while looking at our calendar and see only a month left before we move out of our home. We do have a total of 59 days before we fly out.
These days are not just filled with waiting, unfortunately. Moving out of a two bedroom home into 6 suitcases is a lot of organizing. We are scanning important documents, organizing photos to CD's, packing for Asia, planning yard sales, getting immunization shots, and the list goes on and on. On top of that, continued involvement in the work here. The most important thing is the valued time spent with family. We have been blessed with family and friends celebrating Morgan's graduation and Alleyah's 4th birthday. Every weekend is filled with things to do, so we know July will go fast. We are enjoying it while we can with everyone.
Not complaining though, we are so excited and do feel like we have a list of things that are manageable. Every time we check off something from the priority list it feels good and even more ready to move.
The next step is getting visas and then airline tickets (once the "stamp man" comes through). We are short about $1000 before we can purchase them. Please keep us in mind as we work to meet all our goals. We also ask that the kids will be covered and feel safe and secure through it all. The transition of moving has been set in motion.
Thanks for keeping up with the Joneses!
