Growing Too Fast!

Time just does not stop! So I have to stop before that time flies by. I find myself more and more looking at Alleyah and Noah and wondering how to make this time slow down. I enjoy what they say, what they do, and I (sometimes) even like the naughty things too, after the fact. Alleyah just turned six years old and Noah will be four in August. Since we moved to Asia I have been living the daily life as a foreigner. I study the language daily, adventure out and buy new foods, volunteer at an orphanage, and meet people. Alleyah has been going to the international school and leaves every morning at 7am. She is gone until 1pm and Noah and I miss her while she is gone. I feel like I can slow down time a little by starting a new adventure…Home school. Noah will be ready for pre-school and Alleyah first grade. I think that stopping my daily routine to teach my children every morning will be a delight! I know I can’t really stop time and so I am asking myself how can this time can be valued instead of rushed off to school and have the feeling of missing out.

So for me to say, “hey, mornings are for my children, if you need me wait until 12pm” Is a big step for me. I have always been that busy mama that runs about and can sometimes get carried away in other things. I know I am a ‘people pleaser’ so they say, and learning to protect those most important to me is a big one. These things I do can be good things and valuable too, but I am stepping back and organizing my day. First things first! My children.

I have chosen a curriculum called “My Father’s World” and “Math u See.” I am really excited to be the one teaching my children and rejoicing when they accomplish a goal. I know there will be some days that take so long or can be frustrating, but even those days I know I will look back on someday and wish I had them again.

Prov. 22:6 “train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.”

Kindergarten is finished Friday and we are now starting our summer. Travel to villages, camping with nomads and more. We are excited to have our own transportation this year and drive to these places. We hope you all enjoy your summer too! Take time to create memories and slow down too~

Blessings~ Enjoy some recent pictures of Alleyah’s birthday party and us!

Our good friend's little guy turns one! We made him his first cupcakes and later he had his first pizza bits.

Just enjoying the new roller blades and how Alleyah can convince Noah to do anything!
